support your local artists
This is the second time I've bragged about my talented sister Nica in as many months, but her artwork received such rave reviews that I couldn't resist plugging her latest venture. Along with about 20 other vendors, Nica and some friends will be participating in the "Art Inside" boutique taking place this Saturday. It's like Etsy in my own backyard! The busy bee has created over 40 original watercolor paintings for the event, including the samples above... just picture these lovelies hanging in that lonely little spot on your wall! You can even commission portraits done in her whimsical style (similar to the one shown below of my little family), so perfect for Mother's Day. And be sure to check out the flower barrettes made by our friend Crystal. If you're like me you won't be able to decide on just one... of course I do love it when little Kate's hair looks like a garden in full bloom.
