Miss lily bean made a special request that i put some of her artwork up on my blog "with some tape". how adorable is that?! So this is the drawing she created of the "butter cow" at the Utah State Fair. Along with petting the goats, the sculpture was the highlight of her trip, and this rendering is a surprising likeness if i do say so myself (the sculpture was a cow and some other animals line-dancing). Looks like minnie me might just be on her way to an exciting career in art and design!

Maybe this is the year i'll throw an elaborate Halloween bash. Growing up I dreamed of having all my friends over for a masquerade birthday party, and i've always had an affinity for vampires. The only problem was my actual birthday fell a few days AFTER Halloween, rather than BEFORE, so my sweet (and oh-so-proper) mother insisted that the idea was completely out of the question. Maybe this is the year I let loose with reckless abandon! Especially since whipping up this freebie Halloween word-art has put me in the mood, and would be perfect for a party invitation. Then again, trick-or-treating with Minnie Mouse was one of the highlights of 07, and i'd hate a raging party to interfere with that priceless mommy moment. These new little designs were inspired by, and co-ordinate with, my Jack Halloween digital scrapbooking kit on pcLayers. So much fun creating that kit!
