sometimes i forget how much i love letterpress. and then one day i'm lucky enough to have a client spring for the occasion, and upon receiving the printed pieces my heart goes all a flutter. oh. my. goodness. the soft vintage look of the printed ink combined with the deep impression into the paper is pure bliss.
last month i had not one, but two projects elevated by this gorgeous art form, so i thought i'd share the results. The first one was an invitation for my cousins upcoming nuptials in Napa. (yes we get to go!! and no, we can't seem to get a reservation at the French Laundry. boo. i think it's impossible, but if anyone out there has a tip i'm all ears!) Hillary and Trae are a unique and creative couple, and the resulting invitation had a cheeky "finally..." stamped onto a handmade fabric envelope, which contained the invitation (complete with custom die cuts and hand stitching!). many thanks to our devoted assembly crew.

this second project was a simple logo and business card design for my neighbor, a talented landscape designer. she's just began working again after some dedicated mommy years and wanted a fresh look to give her a jump start. how could i refuse, we working moms have to stick together!
lastly, i was reminded i've never posted the invitations to my little sisters big day. A handbound booklet with beautifully letterpressed pages. gorgeous wedding. gorgeous couple. gorgeous parents to be (any day now, i'm so excited!). They even used the monogram i created as a window decal. stunning.
